Contraindications & Precautions
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to Dicyclomine or any component of the formulation.
Because dicyclomine has anticholinergic activity, veterinary assessment is important in animals with conditions involving urinary retention, gastrointestinal obstruction or impaired gastrointestinal motility.
Colic can result from serious conditions such as intestinal obstruction, torsion, impaction or other surgical emergencies. Symptomatic relief with an antispasmodic should not delay diagnosis and appropriate treatment of the underlying cause.
Administer by the intramuscular route only, according to Vetoquinol's product instructions.
Withdrawal Period
SPASMOVET may be administered to food-producing livestock.
A specific current milk or meat withdrawal period is not stated in the Vetoquinol product-manual entry reviewed.
