Key Benefits
Maxxtol provides combined analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity, helping reduce pain, swelling, inflammation and fever associated with a variety of veterinary conditions. Its injectable formulation is useful where rapid systemic NSAID therapy is clinically appropriate.
Precautions
Use only under veterinary supervision. NSAIDs should be used cautiously in animals with kidney, liver or gastrointestinal disease, dehydration, hypovolaemia or a history of gastrointestinal ulceration.
Avoid concurrent administration with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids unless specifically directed by a veterinarian, as this may increase the risk of gastrointestinal and renal adverse effects.
Possible Adverse Effects
Tolfenamic acid is generally well tolerated when appropriately prescribed. Possible adverse reactions include gastrointestinal irritation, vomiting, diarrhoea or reduced appetite. Injection-site discomfort or swelling may occasionally occur. Veterinary farm
Significant gastrointestinal bleeding, persistent vomiting, severe diarrhoea, weakness or other unusual reactions require prompt veterinary attention.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Keep the vial securely closed and out of reach of children. Follow the exact storage instructions printed on the original manufacturer pack.
Important Warning
For veterinary use only. Prescription veterinary medicine. Use only at the dose and route prescribed by a Registered Veterinary Practitioner.
For food-producing animals, applicable milk and meat withdrawal periods must be confirmed from the current product label or veterinarian before use.
