Flunixin acts primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing mediators involved in inflammation, pain and fever.

- Mastitis
- Metritis
- Pneumonia / respiratory disease
- Endotoxemia / septicemia

- Other inflammatory conditions where Flunixin therapy is clinically appropriate.

Key Benefits
MEGLUDYNE provides fast and potent relief from pain, fever and inflammation without being a corticosteroid or narcotic. It is particularly useful as supportive anti-inflammatory therapy in conditions such as mastitis, metritis, respiratory disease and endotoxemia, as well as musculoskeletal and visceral pain.
Precautions
Use only under veterinary supervision. As with other NSAIDs, use cautiously in animals that are dehydrated, hypovolemic, or have gastrointestinal, renal or hepatic impairment.
Avoid simultaneous administration with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids unless specifically directed by a veterinarian.
For food-producing animals, follow the current product label for applicable meat and milk withdrawal periods.
Possible Adverse Effects
Flunixin may potentially cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulceration, reduced appetite, renal effects or injection-site reactions, particularly with excessive dosage, prolonged treatment or use in dehydrated animals.
Discontinue treatment and seek veterinary advice if significant adverse reactions occur.
Storage
Store according to the conditions printed on the current product label, protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Keep the vial securely closed and maintain appropriate aseptic technique when withdrawing doses.
Important Warning
FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY — PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE.
MEGLUDYNE provides symptomatic control of pain, fever and inflammation; it does not replace appropriate antimicrobial or disease-specific treatment when an underlying infection is present.
