Composition / Active Ingredient

Each ML contains:

Flunixin Meglumine I.P. (Vet.) – 83 mg
Equivalent to Flunixin – 50 mg
Water for Injection I.P. – q.s. 

Flunixin is a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) providing analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity.

Clinical Description

Meglu is a veterinary NSAID injection formulated for the control of pain, inflammation, fever and spasmodic discomfort. Flunixin inhibits prostaglandin-mediated inflammatory responses, helping reduce pain, elevated body temperature and inflammation.

It is particularly useful for symptomatic management of colic-associated pain, inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions and fever associated with systemic disease. 

Indications / Uses

The manufacturer identifies Meglu Injection for spasm and pain associated with colic, as well as pyrexia associated with respiratory disease, endotoxemia and metritis. 

It is also indicated for controlling pre- and postoperative pain and for painful inflammatory conditions including navicular syndrome, laminitis, osteoarthritis, arthritis and myositis. 

Dosage & Administration

Storage

Store in a cool, dry and dark place and protect from light. Keep out of reach of children. The manufacturer also states that the maximum number of vial pricks should not exceed ten.
