Nayflee Plus Spot-On for Dogs Up to 10 KG
Manufacturer/Marketer: Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Division: Intas Animal Health
Product Type: Veterinary Topical Spot-On Solution
Therapeutic Class: Ectoparasiticide + Insect Growth Regulator (IGR)
Target Species: Puppies and dogs weighing up to 10 kg
Pack Size: 0.67 ML single-dose pipette.
Composition
Each formulation contains:
Fipronil — 9.8% w/v
(S)-Methoprene — 8.8% w/v
Excipients — q.s.
Clinical Description
Nayflee Plus is a dual-action veterinary ectoparasiticide formulated for dogs. Fipronil acts against adult external parasites such as fleas, ticks and lice, while (S)-Methoprene is an insect growth regulator that targets immature flea stages.
The combination helps control existing ectoparasites while interfering with the development of flea eggs and larvae, thereby helping break the flea life cycle and reduce reinfestation.
Indications / Recommended Uses
Nayflee Plus is used for the treatment and control of flea, tick and lice infestations in dogs. The (S)-Methoprene component additionally helps control flea eggs and larvae. Available product information also describes its use as part of the management of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) associated with flea infestation.
Dosage & Administration
Dogs weighing up to 10 kg: One 0.67 ML pipette per application.
Part the fur at the base of the neck/between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Apply the entire contents of the pipette directly onto dry skin, not merely onto the hair coat.
For dogs up to 20 kg, available directions recommend applying the complete pipette at one spot. Do not rub in. For ongoing parasite control, it is generally applied once every month. Avoid bathing or wetting the dog for approximately 48 hours after application.
Key Benefits
Nayflee Plus provides dual-action parasite protection. Fipronil controls adult fleas, ticks and lice, while (S)-Methoprene helps prevent immature flea stages from developing into reproducing adults.
The 0.67 ML pipette is specifically designed for puppies and small dogs weighing up to 10 kg, allowing convenient weight-based application.
Precautions
For external use only. Apply only to intact, dry skin. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.
Prevent the treated dog or other animals from licking the application site until it is completely dry. Available directions state that the product can be used in dogs from 8 weeks of age.
Always select the pipette corresponding to the dog's actual body weight.
Possible Adverse Effects
Occasionally, dogs may develop temporary redness, itching, irritation or changes in the hair at the application site. Accidental licking shortly after application may cause temporary excessive salivation.
Seek veterinary attention if significant irritation, persistent vomiting, tremors, weakness or unusual behaviour develops following application.
Storage
Store below 30°C, protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Keep in the original packaging and out of reach of children and animals.
Important Warning
For veterinary use only. For external use only. Do not administer orally. Use the correct pipette according to the dog's body weight. Effective flea control may also require appropriate cleaning and treatment of bedding and the animal's environment to reduce reinfestation.
