Clinical Description

Nayflee Plus is a dual-action topical ectoparasiticide formulated for dogs. It combines Fipronil, which acts against adult fleas, ticks and lice, with (S)-Methoprene, an insect growth regulator that interferes with the development of flea eggs and larvae. This combination helps control existing parasites while also disrupting the flea life cycle and reducing reinfestation. 

Indications / Recommended Uses

Nayflee Plus Spot-On is used for the treatment and control of fleas, ticks and lice in dogs. Because it contains (S)-Methoprene, it also helps control flea eggs and larvae, providing broader flea-life-cycle management. Product information additionally describes its use as part of the management of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) and acaral lick dermatitis associated with ectoparasites. 

Dosage & Administration

Dogs weighing 40–60 kg: One 4.02 ML pipette per application. 

Part the dog's coat so the skin is clearly visible. Apply the contents directly onto dry skin, preferably at sites where the dog cannot lick it, such as around the shoulder-blade/base-of-neck region. For larger dogs, the dose may be distributed across 2–3 spots along the back. Do not apply merely onto the hair coat. 

For continuous parasite control, available product directions recommend application once every month, or as directed by the Registered Veterinary Practitioner.

Precautions

For external use only. Apply only to intact, dry skin and avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. Prevent the dog from licking the application sites until they are dry.

Available product information states that Nayflee Plus can be used in dogs from 8 weeks of age. Avoid bathing or wetting the dog immediately after application; one product guide recommends keeping the dog dry for at least 48 hours after treatment. 

Use the pipette corresponding to the dog's actual body-weight range.

Possible Adverse Effects

Some dogs may occasionally develop temporary redness, itching, irritation or hair changes at the application site. Accidental licking may cause transient excessive salivation.

If marked irritation, persistent vomiting, tremors, weakness or abnormal behaviour develops after application, seek veterinary attention.

Storage

Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Follow any additional storage instructions printed on the original pack.

Important Warning

For veterinary use only. For external use only. Use the appropriate pipette according to the dog's body weight. Do not administer orally. Effective flea management may also require appropriate treatment of bedding, surroundings and other infested animals to help prevent reinfestation.
