Clinical Description:
Enrocarus-72 is a veterinary broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibacterial injection containing Enrofloxacin. It acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, disrupting bacterial DNA replication and multiplication. It provides activity against a range of susceptible Gram-negative, Gram-positive and Mycoplasma organisms.

Indications:
Enrocarus-72 is used for susceptible bacterial infections affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary and reproductive systems. Depending on veterinary diagnosis and bacterial susceptibility, Enrofloxacin therapy may be used in conditions such as pneumonia/respiratory infections, enteritis, septicaemia, mastitis, metritis and other systemic bacterial infections.

Dosage & Administration:
The exact dosage, route, frequency and treatment duration for Enrocarus-72 (72 mg/ml) should follow the current Carus manufacturer label or the veterinarian's prescription.

Because Enrofloxacin injections are marketed in several different concentrations, dosage instructions from a 100 mg/ml, 150 mg/ml or 200 mg/ml formulation should not be directly applied to Enrocarus-72.

Possible Adverse Effects:
Occasional injection-site pain/swelling or gastrointestinal disturbances may occur. Fluoroquinolones should be used cautiously in young, rapidly growing animals because of potential effects on developing articular cartilage. Seek veterinary attention if a significant adverse reaction occurs.

Storage:
Store according to the conditions printed on the original manufacturer pack, protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the stated expiry date.

Withdrawal Period:
For food-producing animals, milk and meat withdrawal periods must follow the current Indian Enrocarus-72 product label/package insert. Withdrawal periods from other Enrofloxacin formulations should not be substituted.
