Uterotone DS is a concentrated polyherbal phytobioactive formulation containing a blend of ecbolic herbs enriched with Iron and Copper for uterine and reproductive health. MAKAMS describes it as the concentrated/double-strength version of its uterine-support formulation.

Clinical Description

Uterotone DS is a concentrated veterinary uterine tonic and ecbolic designed for postpartum reproductive management. Its herbal actives with iron and copper support uterine contractions, uterine cleansing, normal lochial discharge, placental expulsion and timely uterine involution after parturition. 

Indications / Uses

According to the manufacturer, Uterotone DS is indicated for uterine cleansing immediately after parturition, expulsion of retained placenta, and as supportive/adjuvant therapy in metritis, endometritis and pyometra. 

Dosage & Administration

Cow & Buffalo: 50–65 ML
Mare: 25–35 ML
Ewe & Doe: 10–20 ML

Administer orally twice daily for 4–5 days after parturition. In cases of retained placenta, the manufacturer advises that the dose may be tripled and repeated every 3 hours until the fetal membranes are expelled, or as directed by a veterinarian.
