Composition

Each 1 ML contains:

Ivermectin I.P. — 10 MG
Benzyl Alcohol I.P. — 15 MG (as preservative)
Propylene Glycol I.P. — Q.S. 

Clinical Description

HITEK Injection is a veterinary broad-spectrum endectocide containing Ivermectin. It is formulated to control susceptible internal as well as external parasites. Ivermectin acts on the nervous and muscular systems of susceptible parasites, causing paralysis and eventual elimination. 

Indications / Recommended Uses

In cattle and sheep, HITEK Injection is indicated for susceptible:

• Gastrointestinal roundworms
• Lungworms
• Skin worms
• Eye worms
• Cattle grubs
• Screw-worm fly larvae
• Sucking lice
• Biting lice
• Mange mites
• Ticks

In camels, listed indications include gastrointestinal roundworms and mange mites. 

Dosage & Administration

Cattle: 1 ML per 50 KG body weight

This provides Ivermectin 200 MCG/KG body weight.

Route: Subcutaneous (S/C) injection. 

Examples: 100 KG = 2 ML, 250 KG = 5 ML, 500 KG = 10 ML.

For sheep and camels, follow the current product label or veterinarian's species-specific dosage instructions rather than extrapolating the cattle dose.

Precautions

Possible Adverse Effects

Ivermectin is generally well tolerated when administered correctly. Temporary injection-site swelling or discomfort may occur.

Overdosage or unusual sensitivity may cause lethargy, tremors, incoordination, excessive salivation or other neurological signs. Seek veterinary attention if significant adverse effects occur.

Storage

Store in the original container, protected from direct light and excessive heat. Keep the vial properly closed and use according to the storage instructions on the current product label.

It is indicated for control and treatment of susceptible gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, skin and eye worms, grubs, lice, mange mites and ticks in livestock. The listed cattle dose is 1 ML per 50 KG body weight by subcutaneous injection, equivalent to Ivermectin 200 MCG/KG, or as directed by a veterinarian.
