Clinical Description:
AMC-FORTE Bolus is a combination veterinary antibacterial preparation. Amoxycillin is a β-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis, while Sulbactam inhibits bacterial β-lactamase enzymes and helps protect amoxycillin against enzymatic degradation. The addition of Lactic Acid Bacillus provides probiotic support to help maintain intestinal microbial balance during antibiotic therapy. 

Indications:
Manufacturer literature describes AMC-FORTE Bolus for susceptible bacterial infections including soft-tissue infections such as mastitis, abscesses and wound infections; respiratory infections such as sinusitis, bronchitis and pneumonia; and genito-urinary infections such as cystitis, urethritis, metritis, cervicitis and pyometra. It is also described for infections such as septicaemia, postoperative infections and peritonitis. 

Dosage & Administration:
Administer orally, according to the animal's body weight, severity of infection and veterinarian's prescription. Because the manufacturer offers multiple bolus strengths and the accessible official material does not provide a sufficiently clear bolus-specific dosing schedule, Rayavets should publish the exact dosage printed on the current AMC-FORTE Bolus pack rather than extrapolating from the injectable AMC-FORTE formulation.
