Composition – Each bolus contains:
Tranexamic Acid — 1250 mg
Etamsylate — 1250 mg
Excipients — q.s. 

Clinical Description:
Zakshot-Plus is a dual-action veterinary haemostatic preparation combining Tranexamic Acid and Etamsylate. Tranexamic Acid reduces fibrin breakdown by inhibiting fibrinolysis, helping stabilize formed blood clots. Etamsylate provides additional haemostatic support, making the combination useful for controlling excessive or abnormal bleeding. 

Indications:
According to Carus product literature, Zakshot-Plus is indicated for bleeding associated with surgery, trauma, gynaecological conditions, epistaxis (nose bleeding), gastrointestinal bleeding, blood in urine (haematuria), and blood in milk. 

Dosage & Administration:
1–2 boluses twice daily for 3–5 days, or as directed by the veterinarian. Administer orally.

Provides dual haemostatic action for control of excessive bleeding. It helps stabilize blood clots and provides supportive management in traumatic, surgical, gastrointestinal, urinary, reproductive and mammary bleeding. 

Precautions:
For veterinary use only. Use under the supervision of a Registered Veterinary Practitioner. The underlying cause of persistent or severe bleeding should be diagnosed rather than relying solely on haemostatic treatment. Use cautiously in animals with conditions that may predispose them to thrombosis or urinary obstruction from blood clots.

Possible Adverse Effects:
The combination is generally expected to be well tolerated when used appropriately. Gastrointestinal disturbances or hypersensitivity reactions may occasionally occur. Excessive or inappropriate antifibrinolytic therapy may increase the risk of thrombotic complications.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and animals. 

Withdrawal Period:
For food-producing animals, milk and meat withdrawal periods should follow the current Indian Zakshot-Plus product label/package insert. An unverified withdrawal period should not be published.

Important Warning:
For veterinary use only. Prescription veterinary medicine. Zakshot-Plus controls bleeding but does not treat the underlying cause of haemorrhage. Severe, recurrent or unexplained bleeding requires veterinary investigation.
