After reconstitution with 10 ML Sterile Water for Injection, each 1 ML contains Ceftiofur 50 MG. 

Clinical Description

XCEFT is a veterinary injectable antibiotic containing Ceftiofur, a third-generation cephalosporin. It provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Ceftiofur acts by inhibiting bacterial cell-wall synthesis, resulting in bactericidal activity against susceptible organisms. It is used in livestock for bacterial infections where ceftiofur therapy is considered appropriate by a veterinarian.

Indications / Recommended Uses

XCEFT may be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections in livestock, including respiratory infections, bacterial pneumonia, foot infections, uterine/reproductive-tract infections and other susceptible systemic bacterial infections, depending on the diagnosis and species.

Because antibiotic selection should be based on the suspected or confirmed pathogen, its use should be under the supervision of a registered veterinary practitioner.

Dosage & Administration

XCEFT 500 MG is reconstituted with the supplied 10 ML Sterile Water for Injection, producing a concentration of approximately 50 MG Ceftiofur per ML. 

Route: Injectable use as directed by the veterinarian.

Storage
