Flumethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid ectoparasiticide with potent acaricidal activity against susceptible ticks. 

Clinical Description

PORON is a ready-to-use veterinary pour-on ectoparasiticide containing Flumethrin. It is designed for topical control of tick infestations in livestock.

Flumethrin acts on the nervous system of susceptible ectoparasites, disrupting normal nerve function and resulting in paralysis and death of ticks. The pour-on formulation allows convenient application directly to the animal without preparation of a dip or spray solution.

Indications / Recommended Uses

PORON is primarily used for the control and management of tick infestations in livestock, particularly cattle, sheep and goats.

Regular and appropriately timed ectoparasite control can help reduce problems associated with heavy tick burdens, including skin irritation, blood loss, reduced productivity and transmission risk of tick-borne diseases.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dose: 1 ML per 10 KG body weight, or as directed by a veterinarian.

Apply the calculated quantity externally along the midline of the back, from the shoulder region toward the base of the tail.

For example:

• 100 KG animal — 10 ML
• 200 KG animal — 20 ML
• 300 KG animal — 30 ML
• 400 KG animal — 40 ML

Possible Adverse Effects

Storage
