Clinical Description:
Metphos is a veterinary metabolic-support injection combining Butaphosphan, an organic phosphorus compound, with Vitamin B12. The combination supports energy and intermediary metabolism, helps animals during periods of metabolic stress and convalescence, and provides nutritional support in conditions associated with weakness, reduced muscular activity and poor performance. 

Indications:
According to Carus product literature, Metphos is indicated as supportive therapy in metabolic disorders, tetanies and paresis, reduced muscular activity, infertility and puerperal diseases, weakness and anaemia, and convalescence. Trade product information additionally describes its use in reduced fertility and pica. 

Dosage & Administration:
Metphos can be administered by subcutaneous (SC), intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection. 

The exact dose varies according to species, body weight and clinical condition. Precautions:
