Selection of the antibiotic should be based on veterinary diagnosis and, where appropriate, culture and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.

Route: Intravenous (IV)
The sterile powder should be properly reconstituted before administration according to the current product insert. The exact administration procedure and need for further treatment should be determined by a registered veterinary practitioner.
Key Benefits
M-CEFT provides third-generation cephalosporin antibacterial therapy for susceptible bacterial infections in livestock. Alembic specifically positions the product as a single-dose treatment for mastitis, including clinical and subclinical mastitis.
Precautions
Use only under veterinary supervision. Avoid use in animals with known hypersensitivity to Ceftizoxime, cephalosporins, penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics, unless specifically advised by a veterinarian.
For food-producing animals, follow the current product label regarding applicable milk and meat withdrawal periods. Responsible antibiotic use is important to minimize antimicrobial resistance.
Possible Adverse Effects
Cephalosporin antibiotics can occasionally cause hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. Other adverse reactions may occur depending on the individual animal.
If a severe allergic or unexpected reaction develops, discontinue treatment and seek immediate veterinary attention. Refer to the current package insert for complete product-specific safety information.
Storage
Store according to the conditions specified on the original product label/package insert, protected from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
After reconstitution, follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding storage conditions and permitted period of use.
