Clinical Description

GLOSSY COAT PLUS is a veterinary skin and coat nutritional supplement formulated with essential Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids plus Biotin. These nutrients help maintain the normal skin barrier, coat quality and hair growth, while providing nutritional support during seasonal hair fall and dermatological problems. 

The balanced fatty-acid combination also provides nutritional support in pets experiencing dry skin, dull coat or inflammatory skin conditions. A government tariff description specifically identifies the product as being used for better skin health, management of skin allergies and support in inflammatory conditions in dogs and cats.

Dosage & Administration

A published feeding guideline recommends:

10 GM daily per 10 kg body weight, orally, or as directed by the veterinarian. 

The supplement can be administered directly or mixed with the pet's regular food. Use the measuring/pump system supplied with the pack where applicable.

Precautions

Persistent itching, severe hair loss, redness, wounds, bad odour or recurrent skin problems should be evaluated by a veterinarian.

Possible Adverse Effects

Omega fatty-acid supplements are generally well tolerated. Excessive quantities may occasionally cause loose stools, vomiting or gastrointestinal discomfort.

Withdrawal Period

Not applicable for companion dogs and cats.
