Benzyl Alcohol I.P. — 1.5% w/v
Water for Injection — q.s. 

Clinical Description:
Mecovet-DXL is a high-strength veterinary neurotropic Vitamin B-complex injection combining Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B1. These vitamins support normal nerve transmission, neuromuscular function and energy metabolism. The combination is formulated as supportive therapy for neurological and neuromuscular disorders and conditions associated with nerve weakness. Carus describes Mecovet-DXL as “Synergetic Nerve Therapy.” 

Indications:
According to Carus product literature, Mecovet-DXL is indicated for neurological disorders, nerve weakness, paralysis and neuromuscular disorders. 

It may also provide supportive nutritional therapy where deficiencies of Vitamins B1, B6 or B12 contribute to impaired nerve or muscle function.

Dosage & Administration:
Cow, Buffalo & Horse: 5–10 ml
Calf, Sheep & Goat: 1–2 ml
Dog & Cat: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight
Or as directed by the veterinarian. 

Available product information describes administration by IM or IV route. Treatment duration should be determined by the veterinarian according to the clinical condition.

Available product information recommends storage below 25°C, protected from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children and follow the current manufacturer's label. 

Withdrawal Period:
For food-producing animals, follow the current Indian Mecovet-DXL label/package insert regarding any applicable milk or meat withdrawal instructions.

For veterinary use only. Mecovet-DXL is supportive neurotropic vitamin therapy. Animals with paralysis, severe weakness or persistent neurological signs should undergo veterinary examination to determine and treat the underlying cause.
