Clinical Description

EPISOOTHE is a gentle veterinary shampoo-cum-conditioner for dogs and cats with dry, itchy or sensitive skin. Its soap-free formulation gently cleanses the skin and coat while helping maintain hydration and skin comfort. 

Colloidal oatmeal provides soothing and moisturizing action, while Glycotechnology and Chitosanide support skin hygiene, barrier care and microbial balance.

Indications / Recommended Uses

EPISOOTHE Shampoo is suitable for:

• Dry and sensitive skin
• Itchy or irritated skin
• Routine skin and coat cleansing
• Skin hydration and moisture maintenance
• Post-infection skin care
• Regular grooming of dogs and cats requiring a gentle shampoo

It is particularly useful when frequent cleansing is required without unnecessarily stripping the skin's natural moisture. 

Usage Instructions

For external veterinary use only.

Shake the bottle well before use. Wet the animal's coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply an adequate quantity of EPISOOTHE and massage gently to produce a generous lather.

Allow the lather to remain in contact with the skin for approximately 5–10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. 

Virbac India recommends:

For dry or itchy skin: Use 2–3 times per week for approximately 4 weeks, then reduce to once weekly.

For routine grooming or post-infection skin care: Use once weekly, or according to veterinary advice.

Precautions

EPISOOTHE is primarily a cleansing, soothing and moisturizing shampoo and should not replace specific antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic or anti-inflammatory treatment when such therapy is required.

Possible Adverse Effects

EPISOOTHE is designed as a gentle shampoo and is generally well tolerated. However, individual animals may occasionally develop local irritation or sensitivity.

Sensitivity to oatmeal can occur in some animals. Discontinue use and consult a veterinarian if redness, itching or irritation develops or worsens. 

Storage

Store the bottle properly closed in a cool, dry place, protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Follow the storage conditions printed on the current Indian product label.
