Clinical Description:
Conaseb is a medicated veterinary shampoo combining ketoconazole, chlorhexidine and cetrimide. Ketoconazole provides antifungal activity, chlorhexidine provides broad-spectrum antiseptic and antibacterial activity, and cetrimide contributes cleansing and antiseptic action. The combination is designed to control susceptible fungal, yeast and bacterial skin infections while helping reduce associated itching, scaling, flaking and irritation. 

Indications:
Recommended for the management of infectious dermatitis, Malassezia infection, dermatophytosis, pyoderma, intertrigo, impetigo, folliculitis and pododermatitis. It may also help manage itching, scaling and irritation associated with susceptible bacterial and fungal skin infections.

Directions for Use:
Wet the animal's coat thoroughly with lukewarm water. Apply sufficient Conaseb Shampoo and massage gently to produce a rich lather over the affected areas and coat. Allow the shampoo to remain in contact with the skin for approximately 5–10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. 

Recommended Frequency:
For active/severe skin conditions, available product information recommends use approximately 2–3 times per week for up to 4 weeks, with frequency subsequently reduced according to clinical response and veterinary advice.

Precautions:

Prevent licking or ingestion of the shampoo. Use under veterinary guidance, particularly where lesions are severe, widespread or recurrent. 

Possible Adverse Effects:
Some animals may experience mild skin irritation, dryness or redness, particularly when the skin is already sensitive. Discontinue use and consult a veterinarian if marked irritation, swelling, worsening redness or another hypersensitivity reaction develops. 

Storage:
Store below 25°C. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
