Diminazene Aceturate is an aromatic diamidine antiprotozoal agent with activity against susceptible haemoprotozoan organisms, particularly Babesia* and *Trypanosoma species.
Phenazone provides antipyretic and analgesic activity, helping reduce fever, pain and discomfort associated with haemoprotozoal infections.

- Babesiosis
- Trypanosomiasis
- Theileriosis
- Mixed haemoprotozoan infections
- Pyrexia of unknown origin, when considered appropriate by the veterinarian
Clinical signs associated with haemoprotozoal disease may include high fever, weakness, anaemia, loss of appetite, reduced productivity and abnormal urine, depending on the causative organism and severity.

Key Benefits
BERENIL VET 7% RTU provides a convenient ready-to-use formulation, avoiding the need to reconstitute a powder before injection.
It provides:
- Antiprotozoal activity against Babesia
- Activity against susceptible Trypanosoma
- Use in theileriosis
- Management of mixed haemoprotozoan infections
- Phenazone-supported antipyretic and analgesic action
- Convenient IM or SC administration
Precautions
Use only under the supervision of a Registered Veterinary Practitioner.
Accurately determine the animal's body weight before calculating the dose.
Do not exceed the recommended maximum total dose of 56 mL.
Haemoprotozoal diseases can have similar clinical presentations, so appropriate diagnosis is important before treatment.
Avoid unnecessary or repeated administration without veterinary assessment because excessive exposure to diminazene can increase the risk of toxicity.
Withdrawal Period
For food-producing animals, the manufacturer's stated withdrawal periods are:
Meat: 20 days
Milk: 3 days
Always verify the withdrawal period against the current Indian pack/leaflet, particularly if product registration or label instructions have changed.
Possible Adverse Effects
Occasional local injection-site reactions or hypersensitivity may occur.
Excessive doses of diminazene can cause significant toxicity, potentially including neurological signs. Accurate body-weight-based dosing is therefore important.
Seek veterinary attention immediately if severe or unusual reactions occur following administration.
Storage
Store below 30°C.
Protect from light.
Avoid freezing.
Keep the multidose vial properly closed and protected from contamination. Follow the storage and in-use instructions printed on the current product pack.
Important Warning
FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY. NOT FOR HUMAN USE.
BERENIL VET 7% RTU is a veterinary antiprotozoal injectable medicine and should be administered under veterinary supervision.
Follow the prescribed dose carefully and observe the applicable meat and milk withdrawal periods in food-producing animals.
